Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 19, 2026
Overview
TruMac ("we", "us") provides a food logging and nutrition-analysis application. This policy describes what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have questions, contact us at privacy@gravity-church.com.
Information we collect
- Account data: email address, display name, and an encrypted password or third-party sign-in identifier (Sign in with Apple, Google, Facebook).
- Nutrition data you log: foods, barcodes, meal entries, body weight, recipes, and calorie goals.
- Meal photos: images you submit for AI-based meal recognition. Originals are retained for up to 180 days for quality review and then deleted.
- Technical data: HTTP request metadata (IP address, user agent, timestamps) for security and abuse prevention.
How we use your data
- Authenticate you and maintain your account.
- Show your food logs, summaries, trends, and corrections.
- Improve meal-recognition accuracy and catch API abuse.
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use it to track you across other apps or websites.
Third-party services
- Anthropic — processes meal photos and text for recognition. Photos are sent only when you explicitly scan a meal.
- OpenFoodFacts — barcode lookups when a product is not yet in our cache.
- Apple, Google, Facebook — identity verification for sign-in only.
Your rights and choices
- Delete your account: the Settings screen in the app offers permanent account deletion. This removes your profile, food logs, recipes, body weight entries, scan history, and associated photos.
- Export: contact privacy@gravity-church.com to request a copy of your data.
- Questions or complaints: email privacy@gravity-church.com.
Data retention
Account and log data are retained while your account is active. Meal photo originals expire after 180 days. Deleted accounts are removed within 30 days; backups roll off within 90 days.
Changes to this policy
We will update the "Last updated" date when this policy changes. Material changes will be surfaced in-app.
